Abstract

Millions of individuals all around the globe suffer with diabetes mellitus, a chronic metabolic illness. When insulin production is inadequate or insulin is not effectively used, the body becomes unable to control blood glucose levels. Different types of diabetes have different biological causes and clinical consequences; they include type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. In this paper, we will take a look at the different ways that diabetes can be prevented and the basic processes that lead to its development. relevant biological variables, including a hereditary susceptibility, insulin resistance, pancreatic dysfunction, hormonal imbalance, obesity, and poor glucose metabolism. A lack of insulin causes Type 1 Diabetes, a condition in which the immune system mistakenly assaults the pancreatic beta cells that produce insulin. Insulin resistance, obesity, lack of physical activity, and poor eating habits are the key risk factors for type 2 diabetes. The rising incidence of diabetes across all age groups is due in large part to environmental and lifestyle variables.
