Instructions for Authors
Intesab Aalami welcomes original, unpublished, and high-quality submissions that contribute to literature, culture, the arts, and allied multidisciplinary fields. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submission of a manuscript signifies that the author agrees to the journal’s editorial policies and accepts full responsibility for the originality, authenticity, and ethical integrity of the work.
The journal accepts submissions in Urdu, Hindi, and English. Authors should ensure linguistic accuracy and clarity appropriate to the genre of submission. The journal publishes fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays and criticism, interviews, book reviews, biographical profiles, travelogues, translations, art and photography, as well as research articles and review articles. The category of submission must be clearly specified at the time of submission.
Manuscripts should be submitted in a standard editable format. Research and review articles must include a clear title, an abstract, and relevant keywords, followed by the main text and a complete list of references. Creative submissions should be properly titled and neatly formatted. Tables, figures, images, or photographs, if included, must be of high quality, clearly numbered, and accompanied by appropriate captions and source acknowledgments. For translated works, authors must declare the original source and confirm that necessary permissions have been obtained.
Submissions must adhere strictly to the journal’s formatting and style requirements. Authors are advised to use a readable font, standard spacing, and consistent referencing throughout the manuscript. Any identifying information about the author(s) should be provided separately, where required, to facilitate an unbiased review process.
All submissions are subject to an initial editorial review to assess relevance, quality, and compliance with the journal’s scope, followed by a peer-review process where applicable. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions to any submission without assigning specific reasons. The decision of the editorial board shall be final.
Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data falsification, or any form of unethical practice is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be rejected or withdrawn at any stage of publication. The opinions expressed in published works are solely those of the authors.
