Journal Policies

Peer Review Process
Intesab Aalami follows a rigorous and impartial peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of published content. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess suitability with the journal’s aims and scope. Eligible manuscripts are then evaluated by subject experts through a peer-review process appropriate to the nature of the submission. Based on reviewers’ recommendations, manuscripts may be accepted, rejected, or returned to authors for revision. The final decision rests with the editorial board, and all efforts are made to maintain confidentiality, fairness, and academic integrity throughout the review process.

Plagiarism and Use of AI-Generated Content
The journal maintains a strict policy against plagiarism in any form, including verbatim copying, improper paraphrasing, and uncredited use of ideas. All submissions may be screened using plagiarism-detection tools. The use of artificial intelligence–generated content must be disclosed clearly by the author, and AI tools may not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and ethical use of any AI-assisted content. Manuscripts found to violate plagiarism or transparency standards may be rejected or withdrawn at any stage.

Publishing Ethics
Intesab Aalami adheres to high standards of publishing ethics and is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and academic integrity. Ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, or unethical research practices, is not tolerated. The journal follows accepted ethical guidelines in handling submissions, peer review, and publication decisions to ensure trust among authors, reviewers, and readers.

Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, accurate, and ethically sound. All sources must be properly cited, and permissions must be obtained for copyrighted material. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure that their work complies with ethical and legal standards. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to cooperate with the editorial process and to revise their work when required.

Editor Responsibility
Editors are responsible for making fair, unbiased, and timely decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, relevance, and quality, without discrimination. Editors ensure the confidentiality of submissions, manage conflicts of interest, and uphold ethical standards throughout the publication process.

Reviewer Responsibility
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts within their area of expertise. They must maintain confidentiality, declare any conflicts of interest, and refrain from using unpublished material for personal advantage. Reviewers play a critical role in improving the quality and integrity of published work.

Retraction and Correction Policy
The journal reserves the right to issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions when significant errors, ethical violations, or misconduct are identified in published content. Retractions may be issued in cases of plagiarism, data falsification, or serious ethical breaches. Corrections may be published to address minor errors that do not invalidate the overall findings. Such actions are taken to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Open Access and Copyright
Intesab Aalami is an open-access journal, ensuring free and unrestricted access to its published content. The copyright of all published material is held by the journal, and content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, permitting use, sharing, and reproduction with proper attribution.

Published content may be distributed through the journal’s official website, academic databases, indexing services, and archival platforms to enhance visibility and accessibility.
