Abstract

The part that yoga plays in the alleviation of stress and the improvement of mental health. Some people believe that yoga can help their physical, mental, and social health. The practice has roots in ancient traditions and has become very popular in recent decades. research and current literature to shed light on how yoga lowers stress and improves mental health. While practicing yoga, you should follow certain moral rules called yamas and niyamas, as well as different body poses called asanas and niyamas, and focus on your breathing during pranayama and dhyana. When you put these things together, they have a positive effect that makes you more relaxed, thoughtful, and self-aware, all of which are important for lowering stress and improving mental health. Certain scientific studies have shown that yoga is good for your body in many ways. Stress factors like cortisol levels can go down, the parasympathetic nervous system can work better, and the sympathetic nervous system can be less dominant with regular practice. People who make these changes report feeling less stressed, having more stable heart rates, and being able to control their emotions better generally.
