Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technologies, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and mobile communication has significantly increased cybersecurity risks for individuals, businesses, and governments. Cyberattacks such as ransomware, phishing, malware, data breaches, insider threats, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks have become more frequent and sophisticated. This paper examines the major cybersecurity challenges in the digital era and discusses practical solutions including zero-trust security, multi-factor authentication, encryption, intrusion detection systems, artificial intelligence-based threat detection, employee awareness, and regulatory compliance.
