Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a vital component of modern cybersecurity by enabling organizations to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats with greater speed and accuracy. Machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and behavioral analytics strengthen security operations by identifying anomalies, predicting attacks, automating incident response, and reducing false positives. AI-driven cybersecurity solutions are widely used in intrusion detection, malware analysis, phishing prevention, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and security operations centers (SOCs). Despite these benefits, challenges such as adversarial attacks, data privacy, algorithmic bias, explainability, and regulatory compliance remain significant. This paper examines the role of AI in cybersecurity, key threat detection techniques, response mechanisms, implementation challenges, and future research directions.
