Abstract

Plastic waste has become a major environmental concern in rapidly urbanizing regions due to increasing consumption, inadequate waste segregation, and inefficient disposal systems. This review paper examines the current status of plastic waste management in urban areas, highlighting its environmental impacts, existing management strategies, implementation challenges, and future policy directions.
