Abstract

Emotional Intelligence has gained increasing recognition as a crucial factor in managerial effectiveness. This study examines the role of emotional intelligence in enhancing leadership capabilities, interpersonal relationships, and decision-making processes within organizations. Emotional intelligence includes competencies such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills, all of which significantly influence managerial performance. The study argues that managers with high emotional intelligence are better equipped to handle workplace stress, resolve conflicts, and motivate employees. Such managers foster positive work environments that encourage collaboration, trust, and open communication. The paper also discusses how emotional intelligence helps managers adapt to change and manage diverse teams in today’s globalized workplace. While technical skills remain important, the study highlights that emotional intelligence often distinguishes effective managers from average ones. The research emphasizes the need for organizations to incorporate emotional intelligence training into leadership development programs. It concludes that emotionally intelligent managers contribute to higher employee engagement, better organizational culture, and sustained business success.
