Research on Hawking Radiation and Black Holes in Astrophysics

Black holes are some of the strangest and most interesting things in science. Their gravitational fields are so strong that not even light can escape from inside their event horizon. The general theory of relativity is where black holes get their ideas from. This theory says that there are places in spacetime where gravity is infinitely strong. Over time, observational data like the finding of gravitational waves and X-ray emissions have shown that they are real in the universe. Hawking radiation, which Stephen Hawking forecast in 1974, was a big step forward in how we think about black holes. This means that black holes do not really give off thermal radiation, but rather some kind of radiation because of quantum processes close to the event horizon. Because of this, black holes can lose mass and eventually evaporate over very long spans of time. the most basic things about black holes, like how they form, how they are structured, and how they are put into groups, as well as the processes that cause Hawking radiation. It looks at how black holes connect quantum physics and general relativity.
