MACHINE LEARNING FOR NETWORK INTRUSION DETECTION

Abstract

Modern cyber threat is undoubtedly one of any state's pressing concern and it is a defense aspect that requires an innovative and integrated approach. More attention is being paid to the need to reinforce scientific and technical capabilities, actual armed forces and law-enforcement agencies as well as the relevant ministries and departments with modern technology. Cyber threats should be included into strategic defense and security planning. Cyber security which concerns a strategy for both defense and offense was pointed out as the tasks of information security. Active measures of information security concern the negative counteraction to criminals or attacks. Such programs do not just protect the information system from the attacks. They engage with criminals' activities. The purpose of this type of information security program is to look for and in a short time neutralize the perpetrator before it can do any damage.
