Abstract

Diaspora literature explores the experiences of individuals and communities living away from their ancestral homelands. Themes of identity, migration, displacement, memory, and cultural hybridity occupy a central place in contemporary English literature. This paper examines how diaspora writers negotiate multiple cultural identities and represent the complexities of belonging in multicultural societies. It argues that cultural hybridity enriches literary expression by challenging fixed notions of identity while promoting intercultural understanding in a globalized world.
